Today
The St. Joseph Planning/Study Committee began meeting December 6, 2007, at the direction of the
Pastoral Council, Finance Council, and Father Thome. Monthly meetings, open to all parishoners, have been
held to plan for the future needs of our parish. The largest concern is the construction of a new St. Joseph
Church to accommodate the consolidation of Masses.
Much progress has been made at these meetings. Sub-committees: Communications; Design; Permitting,
Construction and Contracting; and Finance, were asigned to the members with experience in these related
fields. Every effort and detail is being considered to meet our parish needs.
Preliminary designs for a new church are currently being supplied from architect, George P. Moutsatson,
AIA. The concerns from parishioners regarding the preservation of key elements from our current church are
carefully being balanced with the anticipated future needs of our parish, and those requirements of our
Bishop and Vatican.
Keep your eye on this page. It will be
revised and updated to keep you
informed of the progress being made!
